Nintendo Switch 2 Still Hard to Find Weeks After Launch

Ana sayfa / Gaming Consoles

The Nintendo Switch 2 launched with massive fanfare and just as massive demand. Now, weeks after release, securing a console is still a challenge. Here’s where restocks stand, and what buyers should know heading into the second half of the year.

Despite promises of a steady supply, its restock continues to sell out almost instantly in most major regions. U.S. retailers like Best Buy, Target, and GameStop have had scattered availability, often vanishing within minutes. In contrast, UK retailers have been more consistent, with Amazon UK and ShopTo restocking more frequently.

The standard edition remains priced at $449.99 in the U.S. and £395 in the UK. Popular bundles, which often include games like Mario Kart World or accessories such as the Pro Controller, push the price to around $499.99 or more. Accessories are rarely discounted and are sometimes used to pad restock packages.

Nintendo has indicated that production is on track, but global demand continues to outpace restocks. Supply chain hiccups, regional shipping delays, and persistent chip shortages may be contributing to the bottleneck. Even with steady manufacturing, restock windows remain brief and inconsistent.

So far, UK availability has been more stable than in the U.S. Retailers in the UK seem to get more frequent shipments, giving buyers more chances to grab a unit without resorting to resellers.

The Switch 2 remains one of the most in-demand consoles Nintendo has ever launched. While stock is expected to stabilize by next year, savvy shoppers who stay alert and flexible have the best shot at beating the rush.
